Mindful Presence Practice with The Courage Herd

This Session : Simply Being. Are you ready to practice simply Being .. no doing, no goal, no outcome to reach for, simply resting into all that abides as Life?! It sounds, well, simple! And yet, for most of us, this practice makes us keenly aware of just how much time we spend in the churning of our minds. Come play with the herd and the land and discover, rediscover or go deeper into your essence as Life.

Are you yearning to cultivate a deeper sense of inner peace, connection to life and others, to quiet a busy mind?

Many of us feel challenged by the state of our world – demands on our personal life, what we hear and read in the media, the goings on in our community, country or world can leave us feeling drained, even overwhelmed. How do we purposefully cultivate greater connection and creativity in the face of these challenges without merely shutting down or numbing ourselves?

It can be tough, particularly in our current culture, to cultivate a practice of being fully with what is and easy to find ourselves in a loop of constantly reacting. Making time to regularly and consciously engage with our inner life may be one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and others.

The Courage Herd offers a unique path to cultivating presence by working with Eastern meditation and mindfulness practices in collaboration with the horses and nature. Horses have a heart beat half as fast as our human heart beat and an electromagnetic heart field five times larger. By stepping into their space and engaging in simple practices, it’s possible to learn with great ease and without judgement, what a greater depth of presence is like and how to carry it forward into all our relationships.

Each month we offer simple Mindful Presence sessions at Flying Moon Farm that include ceremony, themes to explore, practices to try, and space for reflection and simply ‘being’ with the land, the horses and the abundant life thriving on our farm. No two sessions are the same and yet every session is based on the same principle: by becoming more awaken, attuned, and connected with everything, within and without, we are able to live a more engaged, centred and purposeful life of service to self and others.

We welcome you to join us for one, many or all of sessions between April and October. Come when you are called to. Take your practice as deep as you can.

All sessions involve time inside our barn loft and time outside with the land and the herd. Dress for the weather. Close-toe shoes are required as we may spend time directly with the horses. No particular meditation or horse experience required (sessions do not involve riding).
